A Note from Pastor Roger

Good afternoon, Church Family!
We're in that in-between time of year that happens each August as summer winds down and school bells are about to ring out. I pray that you've had a wonderful summer and that you are excited about the fall.
We conclude our "Lift: 7 Principles to Drive Change" series this Sunday. Have Paul's words to Timothy been an encouragement to you? Have you heard something new that's led to some incredible God-driven change? I hope so! I look forward to seeing you this Sunday as we finish this series. If you are unable to join us in person, you’re welcome to be with us online during one of our livestreamed services through our CityRise app, on our livestreams page, or at youtube.com/cityriseorg.

Serving in The Emerald Isle
If you haven't noticed, CityRise has been traveling and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ a lot this summer. In addition to sending enthusiastic teams to Honduras, Belize (twice!), the Dominican Republic (twice!), and Poland, we also sent a group to Ireland. Here's a report from the trip's co-leader, our Women's Ministry Director, Kristen Campbell.
"We spent a week with a small community in Roscrea, Ireland, and it was a blessing! We had a team of ten—five adults, five students—and provided VBS for sixty kids and four churches in the small community. Nineteen children accepted Jesus!
We also had an opportunity over refreshments to share the gospel and give Bibles to the parents while our five CityRise students lead VBS. At the end of the week, we held a cookout for everybody.
The beauty of Ireland is not just in the land and its rich history—it's also in the hearts of the people we were able to work with and minister to."
