A Note from Pastor Roger

Dear Church Family,
Can you believe we are one-fourth of the way through 2025 already? Moving into springtime is good—we get to see nature in bloom, rains to wash away the pollen, and Astros baseball in full swing. (Lest we forget our University of Houston Cougars in this year’s March Madness!) It also means that our most important annual celebration is near: Easter Sunday.
Are you preparing for Easter yet? We are! From Palm Sunday through Resurrection Sunday, we tend to see many more of our neighbors in our communities, and we love being able to share the good news of Jesus with them through special services and fun gatherings across all our CityRise campuses.
We will also go through a powerful series this Easter season entitled “I AM.” We will look at how the miracles Jesus performs in the Gospel of John point to His true identity and beg the question, “Who does Jesus say He is?” It’s a perfect series for Easter, and it’s a truth we can remember year round.
For a rundown of our Easter events and services, visit cityrise.org/easter or tap the "Easter at CityRise" button in the app and be with us as we celebrate the resurrection of our Savior!
Have a great weekend, Church Family—and go Cougars!
Stay Expectant,
Pastor Roger
