My wife, Julee, and I have been at CityRise since 1997 when it was just West University Baptist. As senior pastor, I want everyone that connects with CityRise to have the opportunity to discover Christ through worship, develop as followers of Christ through teaching and community, and foster a culture of evangelism that seeks to engage ministry, missions and mercy to our city. This is how we at CityRise lift our city and the world by generously giving the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I received my doctorate degree (Doctor of Ministry) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and my Master’s of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1998. In May of 2009, I accepted the call to become the next Senior Pastor of CityRise. Today, we push forward together as we see CityRise grow deep and wide in the Houston community, and I am blessed to follow Christ's call to serve you in that way.
