A Note from Pastor Roger

One Day at a Time: Walking by Faith in 2026
Happy New Year, Church Family!
Welcome to 2026! A new year always feels like a fresh page. But here’s the great thing: it isn’t fresh to God. Before we’ve lived a single day of 2026, God is already in it—which is exciting because I know God has some major things in store for CityRise this year! We don’t have to worry about the days ahead, we can simply take today as a gift and walk with Him by faith, one day at a time.
That’s why I’m grateful we’re starting the year together with our church-wide devotional book, 40 Days of Faith: Wisdom for Walking by Faith Each Day. Over the next forty days, we’ll go through a simple daily devotional rhythm, asking the Lord to grow our understanding of faith and to increase our faith. At cityrise.org/40days, you’ll find the daily blog posts, sermon replays from the series that began this past Sunday, and a link if you’d like to share the journey with someone or pick up additional copies of the book.
And if you’re just now hearing about it, no problem. We will still have copies available on campus at our Welcome Desks this Sunday. Just jump in right where you are. Consistency matters more than perfection, and God is faithful to meet us in small, steady steps.
I’m praying that you seek God’s presence above everything else this year, and that your faith in Him grows beyond what you could have ever thought possible.
Happy New Year, and we’ll see you on Sunday, Church Family!
Stay Expectant in 2026,
Pastor Roger
