If you’re new to Houston, here’s a fun fact: in October, it’s still grilling season. And for men, any excuse to fire up the charcoal is a good one. That’s why next week we’re bringing back a fan favorite in our Men’s ministry—Guys Grill Night.

The evening is simple: come to our CityRise Church | Bellaire campus next Thursday night (October 16), bring what you’d like cooked, enjoy the sizzle and the laughter, hear an encouraging word from our guest speaker, and share a great meal.

Men need time together. It’s easy to isolate and live in our own heads. Jesus modeled close fellowship, and our guest speaker echoes the same.

Tom Douthit, Executive Director of Toolbox Ministries, served thirty-one years as a pastor at BridgePoint Bible Church here in Houston. Today, he leads with Toolbox’s straightforward approach: real stories from credible speakers that open the door to honest conversations and connect men to their next steps— whether that be small groups, mentoring, and more—so we can follow Christ at work and at home.

If a friend, neighbor, or colleague is on your heart, someone who needs encouragement or church connection, invite him. Guys Grill Night is for any man who wants a solid meal and a boost to live abundantly in Christ alongside other men. You don’t even need to register—just come to the grill and be fed.
