A Note from Pastor Roger
Dear Church Family
Across the Pacific Ocean, the West U Baptist Choir Mission Tour continues through this coming Monday, July 8. They have presented some beautiful music full of God’s presence and promise this week in churches and beautiful cathedrals across Ireland.
Down in Central America, our student ministry has led a fabulous week of VBS in Belize. They’ve experienced a great turnout and are doing an amazing job with this mission ministry. Even as the expected impact of Hurricane Beryl continues to move away from the area where they are working—which is an answer to prayer!—please keep praying for those in other locations who will be in the path of the storm.

New CityRise Site
One of our goals at CityRise is to create unique tools for our community and congregation to engage with us in ministry. The CityRise app has already experienced an astounding adoption rate by our congregation. This is the go-to tool for those already involved in our church family. For the community at large, as the next big step in our digital development plan, this week we launched a new version of our website at cityrise.org.
There is a need by those in our community to quickly and easily find the basic information they need to visit our church for the first time. We are working to help people from the community find us online by diminishing barriers and making their entry into our church easier than ever before. The best solution to this is an external facing website that is focused primarily on the community. Our website has been redesigned from top to bottom with guests in mind.

Church members and attenders can conveniently find the latest on current registrations, ministries, sermons, and more by using the CityRise App and opening the Weekly Guide or the various calendars. (But all are still welcome to visit and use the full site!)
We want both those inside our church family and those in our community seeking to visit us to have what is needed to successfully navigate their next steps with CityRise. We believe the app and the website now do that more intentionally than ever. We will seek to keep growing in how we develop and use these tools and hope you find them very useful.

July 4, 1776 was a big day—the day our nation declared its independence. That independence was hard-won through years of war and determination. 248 years later, we still celebrate its foundation, established by our nation’s founders, for a free and democratic government system, upheld by the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. As you celebrate with family and friends and enjoy some time off, it is also a good time to meditate on God’s grace toward us individually and as a nation. Let’s embrace the freedom we have to worship Him and use that freedom to introduce others to Him!
Stay Expectant,
Pastor Roger
