From the Pastor: What Are You Doing This Weekend?

Mary Ellen Ermis September 16, 2022 Devotionals, cityrise, houston, Roger Patterson,

Our Marriage Night event is tonight at our Crosspoint Church – Bellaire campus! If you want to come but have not signed up yet, please know that KPNO is full as well as the dinner portion of the evening; but we have some spots available in the sanctuary. So, if you have not yet signed up and you want to attend, join us in the sanctuary at Crosspoint at 7:45pm and hear Matt and Sarah Hammit share their story.

For our single young adults, there is a singles fellowship Saturday evening at 7:30pm at the Tea House in Rice Village for a relaxing hang out. Boba tea is on us! If you can make it, let us know you are coming by clicking here.

Last weekend, we began to introduce The Flourishing Life Journey as we studied John 10:10 and the abundant life that Jesus offers us. If you missed that introduction, you can view it further below. We will build on that idea this weekend as we open the pages of 1 Samuel and examine the life of Hannah. When the pages of Scripture speak to her story, we see a broken woman stuck in her pain. Yet, her walk of faith and the way she worships will inform our way as we launch the Flourishing Worship series. Join us as we see how Hannah moves from brokenness to flourishing.

As we walk through these next four weeks, we will be sending you a daily devotional, Monday through Friday, with additional content to assist you on your journey with Jesus. I pray it lifts you, challenges you, and encourages you to flourish. There will also be a curriculum that you can use if you choose to go through this study on your own or with a small group of friends. It was made to be done in a group, so feel free to grab a few friends and access the digital content for your spiritual growth.

Here to help you flourish,
Pastor Roger
