A Note from Pastor Roger

Fall Festival Photos + Your Christmas Hub

Dear Church Family,

Houston autumns are such a welcome arrival from the summer heat, always persuading people out of their homes. These are prime opportunities to greet and serve our neighbors. We experienced just that at the Fall Festival at our Missouri City campus this past Saturday, November 1!

Here’s how Traci Edworthy, CityRise Missouri City Kids Associate Director, describes God’s provision and impact on her and on those who attended:

"As always, the Lord provides. He provided volunteers to help man the booths, He kept the rain at bay (even though I thought for sure the heavens would open), and He even brought lots of our neighbors to the doors of our church, blessing us with over 275 people. In the past, we have seen families attend our church because of the positive experiences they had at our events. This testimony drives us to continue providing lifegiving opportunities to show people the love and joy of Jesus."

Scroll for photos below. A huge thank you to the staff and volunteers for making the evening come together for the Missouri City community!
Though we’ve just entered November, we’re already preparing for Advent! The Christmas season will be here before we know it, and with it, December can feel like a tangle of lights. To loosen some of those holiday knots, visit our Christmas page at cityrise.org/christmas. You’ll find our calendar of events, our Christmastime schedules, and have quick access to the sermons throughout the series in one easy place.
One final thing: next Tuesday, November 11, is Veterans Day. With gratitude, we honor all veterans and their families who have served in our nation’s history up to today, for your courageous service, fearless sacrifice, and bold example. Thank you!

I hope you enjoy more of the Houston fall weather this weekend, Church Family. We’ll see you on Sunday!

Stay Expectant,
Pastor Roger
