A Note from Pastor Roger

Dear Church Family,

It’s a sad day in America today. Yesterday, Charlie Kirk was martyred by an assassin's bullet. He was a man who loved this country, freedom, public discourse, and the sanctity of human life. Charlie Kirk was unashamedly a follower of Jesus, a man who loved his wife and children, and a man who catalyzed young people—and frankly many people—around his conservative ideas.

Please pray for his wife, his children, those he influenced, and for those who hated him as well.

He is in glory, not because of his political views or his deeds but because he placed his faith and trust in the work that Jesus accomplished on the cross to pay a just penalty for our sins. Charlie received Christ as his savior, and Christ has now received Charlie into His presence.

May you be encouraged by these words:

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭34‬:‭18‬ ‭(ESV‬‬)

On a day when we also remember the tragedy that happened on this date twenty-four years ago, may believers be continually prayerful, not repay evil for evil, but instead, repay evil with good.

May our Lord heal our land!

Stay Expectant,
Pastor Roger
