A Note from Pastor Roger

Dear Church Family,
Have you ever felt like God isn't doing anything in your life?
We've all wondered that in some form or another—that maybe we're too far away from Him because of our sins and mistakes, that He's taking too long to answer us, or that we're just another face in the God’s creation. We've all felt alone or lost, seeking guidance and wondering if God is even active in our lives. The good news is—always has been and always will be—God is active. Even when we don't see His hand or hear His voice directly, God is always working in our lives.
This Sunday we begin a twelve-week series entitled "Can I Still Experience God?" We'll discover how God moves today by examining how He moved long ago in the life of Moses. Through Moses' journey, we'll see how God speaks to us in various ways, how He invites us to join His bigger purposes rather than just our own plans, how He specializes in impossible situations, how obedience brings both opposition and evidence of God's power, and how God is personally pursuing a relationship with you. Each week will include practical steps you can take to recognize God's activity in your daily life—because experiencing God isn't just a biblical concept, it's meant to be your everyday reality.
If you'd like to go deeper into what it means to experience God's work in your life, consider joining "A Closer Walk with God," a six-week class starting next week. The Christian life extends far beyond Sunday mornings, and this class will help you notice God's hand even more in your daily walk, even drawing occasionally from the insights of the popular book Experiencing God by Henry and Richard Blackaby. You can register here.

I hope you had fun last night as we kicked off much of our fall programming for Wednesday nights! From kids to adults, we had the halls at our West U Baptist campus and Student Building brimming with choir songs, fellowship, games, and Bible study. We love the excitement of Wednesday nights, so if you missed yesterday, it's not too late to join us next week! Visit our Wednesday Nights page for our schedule.
Have a great weekend, Church Family, and enjoy some football while you're at it!
Stay Expectant,
Pastor Roger
