Because You Give: Men's Bible Study

Because you give, CityRise is able to offer a weekly Bible study where men can gather, grow in their faith, and encourage one another through the challenges and opportunities of everyday life. This year, CityRise Men’s Bible Study is celebrating 20 years of faithfully bringing men together around God’s Word.

Throughout the school year, an average of 40 men gather every Tuesday morning, meeting before the workday begins to study Scripture, pray, and build meaningful Christian community. For many, this weekly gathering has become an important part of their rhythm—a time to pause, open God’s Word, and begin the day focused on Him.

Over two decades, this ministry has become about much more than a Bible study. It has created a place where men can develop genuine friendships, encourage one another in their walks with Christ, and find support as they navigate family, work, faith, and the many responsibilities of life.

One of the most beautiful aspects of this ministry is that the invitation extends beyond the walls of CityRise. Men who are not part of our church family have been welcomed into the group, including men who do not yet follow Christ or who do not have a church home. Around the table and in the study of Scripture, relationships are formed and conversations about faith can happen naturally.

For some, simply having a place where they are known, welcomed, and invited to explore questions about God can be the beginning of a journey toward Christ. Others come looking for community and discover brothers who will walk alongside them in faith.

Twenty years of Tuesday morning Bible study represents thousands of conversations, prayers, lessons, friendships, and opportunities to point men toward Jesus.
