Pathways Create: West U Baptist Choir Suite

We are proposing the construction of a new, dedicated Choir Suite to honor and resource our thriving Worship Arts ministry. This suite is essential for providing our dedicated choir and music ministry teams with the space required for both rehearsal and fellowship, moving them out of cramped, outdated areas. The need is clear: to give our artists and leaders a permanent, high-quality, acoustic-appropriate home where they can rehearse the music that lifts our hearts to God. This room will be an investment in the spiritual formation of those who lead us in praise. The Choir Suite will fuel the future of worship at our West U Baptist campus, ensuring that every note sung is a resounding, well-prepared offering to the Lord!

Endorsement from Dr. Paul Magyar, West U Baptist Worship & Senior Adults Pastor
In recent years, the Lord has blessed CityRise West U Baptist’s choir with significant growth necessitating a larger rehearsal space. The current proposal includes a new Choir Rehearsal Suite, which will allow our growing choir and other ensembles to prepare to lead our congregation’s worship services. Not only will the room be larger in footprint and taller in height, but the proposed Suite will move to the second floor, enabling easy access into the Choir Loft each Sunday. I thank and praise God for the joys of serving a congregation that values the leadership of a choir within the context of worship, and for the energy and excitement a new choir rehearsal room will infuse into current and future CityRise West U Baptist minister-musicians of all ages.
Endorsement from Hardy Fairbanks, West U Baptist Member
For decades, the Sanctuary Choir of West U Baptist has been a vibrant expression of worship, proclaiming God’s glory through sacred music. Today, that ministry is growing beyond the limits of our current rehearsal space. With sixty voices gathering weekly in a room designed for fifty, weekly rehearsals are interrupted with the need to add chairs from nearby classrooms to accommodate a very full room of minister-musicians! The proposed Choir Suite will provide the space, accessibility, and technology needed to support this thriving ministry, improving transitions to worship, enhancing connection to the Sanctuary, and creating an inviting environment for our choir. Having sung in this choir since 1984, I’ve seen God sustain and revive this ministry through every season. This renovation represents more than square footage—it’s a commitment to the future of worship at CityRise Church where generations will continue lifting their voices together for the glory of God.
