I’m grateful to share an exciting and meaningful update with you regarding leadership at our CityRise Bellaire campus.
 
Over the past several months, in collaboration with our Personnel Committee and Executive Council, we formed a Bellaire Campus Pastor Selection Committee to prayerfully discern the Lord’s direction for this role. Before looking beyond our church family, we believed it was important to first evaluate someone the Lord has already raised up among us—Pastor Tim Yeager.

Tim has served faithfully on our staff for eleven years. Throughout that time, he and his wife, Sydney, have loved our church family deeply and consistently. We have watched them grow in their walk with Christ, in their marriage, and as a family. We have also seen in Tim a growing desire to expand his influence and impact for the sake of the gospel. Because of this, we sensed it was right to seek the Lord’s will regarding his potential leadership in this new role before considering external candidates.
 
The selection team—led by David Steinbach and including Stephanie Whitfield, Robin Phillips, Kerry Notestine, Alli Sears, Aimee Yuan, and Hunter Bollman, with Executive Pastor Kirby Follis serving as staff liaison—approached this responsibility with great care and intentionality. After a thorough evaluation and interview process, the committee returned with a unanimous recommendation affirming Tim as the next Bellaire Campus Pastor.
 
Our Executive Council received the committee’s report on Wednesday, April 1, and likewise voted unanimously to affirm this recommendation.

We are thrilled to share that Pastor Tim Yeager will be installed as the new CityRise Bellaire Campus Pastor on Sunday, April 26.

During this transition, Tim will continue providing leadership to our student ministry team through July while also stepping into his new campus pastor responsibilities. As a result, we will begin an immediate search for the next student pastor to round out our student ministry staff.
 
Church family, this is a moment of gratitude and expectation. We are thankful for how God has been at work in Tim’s life and leadership, and we are expectant for what He will do through Tim and Sydney in this new season at Bellaire.
