What kind of people dwell in the Flourishing Kingdom? Prepared people dwell there. This Sunday, we will dive into what that means for us as believers in this closing sermon in the “Flourishing Kingdom” series. The following week, will begin a new study on another aspect of the Flourishing Life: how to be “Flourishing Disciples.”
I hope you’re able to be with us on campus. If you are unable to join us in person, you’re welcome to be with us online at one of our livestreamed services at youtube.com/cityriseorg.
Send Relief for Turkey and Syria
Earlier this week, Turkey and Syria were hit with a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake that has reportedly killed more than 19,000 people. That is devastating. We are turning our hearts toward those countries and praying for their safety and for God to show His mighty hand still at work in the midst of tragedy.
There is a solid, Southern Baptist, Christian organization called Send Reliefthat is already providing care and supplies there. I’ve talked personally with Send Relief’s president, Bryant Wright, before, and his staff is incredible at responding, providing, and praying for areas around the world that experience natural disasters, extreme poverty, and what they call “life-altering moments.” If you’d like to donate financially toward the recovery of those affected by this earthquake, I encourage you to give through Send Relief via their dedicated Turkey-Syria Earthquake giving page here.
At the very least, I encourage you to pray for Send Relief’s volunteers, for other organizations like them who are helping, and for the Turkish and Syrian people who have been affected.

Deep & Wide
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”
