ACV’s mission is to provide care and valuable experiences for the spiritual, mental, physical, emotional, and social development of each child. We foster a safe, creative environment rooted in Christian values and encourage curiosity, kindness, and confidence. In our close-knit community, we partner with families to support each child’s individual needs. Through exploration and play, we build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Responsive caregiving is the curriculum. Secure attachment, first movements, early communication. Every feeding and cuddle is intentional learning.

Mobility transforms everything. First steps, first words, pincer grasp. Consistent caregivers support through the extraordinary changes of this age.

Language explodes. Parallel play builds social foundations. Pretend play begins. Routines provide security for growing independence.

Sentences, questions, and "why?" Naming feelings, waiting for turns. Counting, sorting, running, creating. The bridge from "mine!" to sharing.

Cooperative play and early academics. Stories, letters, counting to 10, patterns. Sustained focus, problem-solving, and writing their name.

Kindergarten readiness through joyful engagement. Reading simple words, writing with purpose, scientific thinking, and confident self-advocacy.

To secure your child’s spot, registration fees must be paid in full and in person (with cash or check).

A non-refundable $175 registration fee is required to secure a spot.
Payment must be made in person with cash or check payable to "WUBC".
Enrollment is limited and processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Placement is not guaranteed until payment is received.

Classroom Enrichments

Music

Our weekly music class engages students in physical and cognitive activities through music, singing, and dance.

Spanish

Children are introduced to the foundations of the Spanish language through play, songs, read alouds, and hands-on activities. They are taught Spanish words and phrases for numbers, colors, actions, greetings, and much more.

Science

Children observe, engage, explore, and experiment with different tools (e.g. magnifying glasses, scales, wind vanes) like real scientists! They watch physical changes in matter (solid to liquid), learn vocabulary words associated with the theme, and sometimes eat their own edible creations!

*Signing up is regarded as a commitment, and one month’s notice is required to drop.

Soccer Shots • Mondays & Thursdays

Soccer Shots is an engaging soccer program with an emphasis on character development to positively impact children’s lives on and off the field through best-in-class coaching, communication, and curriculum.

Gym Station's Dance Adventures • Tuesdays

Dance Adventures is a preschool dance and creative movement program. Our Dancers focus on a variety of styles throughout the year, and we always encourage your little dancer to discover the magic within themselves! Dance Adventures uses Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, and Hip-Hop to teach your child the fundamentals of dancing.

Arts Alive! • Wednesdays

Our Arts Alive! program brings joy, imagination, movement, and creativity into the classroom through engaging, age-appropriate curriculum enrichment. Children explore music, creative movement, drama, and the arts while building social, cognitive, language, and physical skills through purposeful play.

**For children ages Pre-K 4 through 2, Arts Alive! is included in Extended Learning tuition. There is no additional fee for families enrolled in Extended Learning.

Tiny Tigers Kung Fu Kids • Wednesdays

Tiny Tigers Kung Fu Kids is for children ages 3 and older. They will learn to build self-esteem; develop focus, control, and balance; and learn self-defense, anti-bullying, and safety. They also work on social skills and teamwork but most of all fun!

Makers Class • Fridays

From soft pastels and watercolor paints to textured paper, glue, and natural items like leaves and shells—each session in our preschool art class is filled with opportunities to create and discover. Children build fine motor skills, express emotions, and explore color, texture, and form in an open-ended and supportive environment.

AGE-APPROPRIATE CURRICULUM

Teachers utilize student interest to create an emergent curriculum focusing on hands-on activities in the classroom. Age-appropriate lessons on emotional, social, physical, cognitive, and language development occur throughout the year. Faith-based lessons are incorporated weekly with a cumulative monthly chapel time.

LICENSING

A Children’s Village is licensed by the Texas Health and Human Services (THHS) under the name A Children’s Village and exceeds their required minimum standards for safety, sanitation, operation, and personnel qualifications and training.

What is the teacher to child ratio?

We maintain ratios at or below Texas state requirements. Each classroom has two or more teachers.

Is A Children's Village play-based or academic?

Both! Play is how young children learn. Our framework ensures play is rich, varied, and intentional. It supports growth across all seven domains. Play is the vehicle for meaningful development.

What if my child has allergies?

Families provide all snacks and lunches. We are a nut-free facility and support/accommodate all allergies and needs with a documented care plan.

Can I start mid-year?

Yes. We offer a rolling enrollment. As space is available, we offer spots year-round.

How do I know my child is on track?

Through real-time Brightwheel updates, our fall open house, and a spring parent-teacher conference, we offer several opportunities for you to be involved in your child’s development here at ACV. If you ever have questions or concerns, just ask!
